Pioneer Cattle Man of Idaho Dies
Twin Falls - Benjamin C. McConnel, 81, died at his home here last Sunday 
morning. Mr. McConnel was a native of Ohio and came to Idaho from Iowa in 1869. 
He was in the cattle business in Boise Valley and High Valley for a number of 
years. He afterwards lived on the bench near Whitney school (in Boise), and 
went to Twin Falls about 12 years ago. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth 
McConnel, six sons and two daughters: W. N. McConnel of Milner; C. E. McConnel, 
Twin Falls; H. B. McConnel, Milner; W. H. McConnel, Caldwell; R. C. McConnel, 
Smiths Ferry; J. E. McConnel, Parma; Mrs. G. S. Gillam, Twin Falls and Mrs. D. 
L. Raymond, Weiser. He is also survived by three brothers: Frank McConnel, 
Pueblo, Colo.; Samuel and E. A. McConnel, of Boise.

Funeral services were held at the Grossman chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, 
conducted by the Christian Science Church, and interment was made in the Twin 
Falls cemetery.
