Suffocated In Refrigerator Car

J. C. Johnson and son Chester, of Caldwell, were reported to have been found
dead in a refrigerator car at Huntington on Wednesday, together with the body
of an unknown man. The three are supposed to have died of suffocation.

Mr. Johnson and his son left Caldwell several days ago intending to go to
Portland in search of work. It is known they got as far as Pendleton and
there they evidently boarded an eastbound train by mistake. Being short of
funds they had started from Caldwell beating their way.

Mr. Johnson leaves a wife and several small children.
