Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Robinson's Chapel, Nampa, for 
Marshall Luther Hughes, who died sometime Friday morning in his trailer house 
at Homedale, although his body was not discovered until Sunday morning. 
The Reverend H.V. Sorenson, Pastor of the Homedale Nazarene Church, officiated. 
Burial was in Kohlerlawn cemetery.
Mr. Hughes' body was discovered Sunday by his grandson Donald Hughes. Dr. G.H. 
Cooper estimated the elderly man had died sometime Friday morning of Natural 
causes. His body was found lying on his bed. Mr. Hughes was born January 28, 
1862 in Marietta, Ohio, He had been a resident of Idaho for many years and 
lived at Nampa. He made his home in Homedale for the last three years. 
He is survived by his wife Lydia, Nampa, four sons, Victor, Holyoke, Colorado; 
Grant, Couer D' Alene, Idaho; Sheridan, Yakima, Washington; Hobart, Homedale; 
six daughters, Mrs. Mary Sheldon, Haigler, Nebraska; Mrs. Bertie Bates, 
Marsing, Idaho; Mrs. Elsie Sheldon, Stratsmore, California; Mrs. Olive Older, 
Mrs. Ruth Traxler and Miss Ocie Hughes, all of Nampa; 21 grandchildren and 4 
great grandchildren.
