Herbert H. Bromagem, 95, of Nampa, died on Monday, January 24, 2000 at a Nampa 
retirement center. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 
January 27, 2000 at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Pastor Doug Wilson of the 
Bethel Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial will follow at the 
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. 
Herbert H. Bromagem was born on Nov. 25, 1904 in Gas City, Kansas. He was 
reared and educated in Kansas and Oklahoma. He ranched in Montana and later in 
Idaho. He married Ocie M. Hughes on Oct. 15, 1947 in Nampa where they have 
since made their home. Herbert was employed at the Union Pacific Fruit Express 
Shops in Nampa until he retired in 1971. 
The love of his life was working the land. He and Ocie always had a very large 
garden that they shared with many. He was a member of the Bethel Church of the 
Nazarene. 
Herbert is survived by his wife, Ocie M. Bromagem, Nampa; son and daughter-in-
law, Jim and Fay Bromagem, Hillsboro, OR; three grandchildren, David and Sherri 
Bromagem, Forest Grove, OR, Suzanne and Loren Blanchard, Hillsboro, OR and 
Shannon and Adam Reynolds, North Plains, OR; seven great-grandchildren; and a 
sister, Myrtle Savage, Bartelsville, OK. 
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. 
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. 
The family suggests memorials to the Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 3001 12th.
