Robert V. Carr, 69, of Fletcher, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 
2008, in his residence.
He was born April 12, 1938, in Shelby County, the son of the late Thomas and 
Mattie Lou (Ament) Carr. He married Betty Lou (Bynum) Foster on June 25, 1971, 
and she survives.
I Also surviving are two children, Shoyn K. (Street) Carr of Piqua and Matthew 
(Raquel) Carr of Sidney; seven grandchildren, Nathan G. Street, Ryan J. 
Street, Olivia R. Street, Dustin Carr and Devyn Burch, all of Piqua, Jonathon 
Bramlette of Troy and Brandon Sibert of Sidney; one great-
I grandson, Brycen Nathaniel Street; and one great-granddaughter due in April, 
Allison Elizabeth. He also is survived by four stepchildren, Veronica "Roni" 
(Jack) Doseck of Tipp City, Jodelle "Jody" (Doug) Cron, of Fletcher, Martin T. 
(Bennie) Foster of San Diego, Calif, and Marlene Castle of Sidney; nine 
stepgrandchildren; 22 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy 
Carr of Piqua.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene and Bill Carr; 
and two sisters, Elsie Carr (infant sister) and Dorothy Emerick.
Robert was an avid hunter, exotic bird collector and enjoyed attending bird 
shows. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged honorably in 1963. Robert 
worked for French Oil in Piqua before retiring in 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Suber-Shively Funeral 
Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Jerry Wilson of Crossroads 
Church, Piqua presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery with military 
honors by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
