ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Wallace E. Bodey, 75, of Zephyrhills, Fla., departed this 
life Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, after a three-year battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Piqua and formerly lived in Troy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janet; three sons and their 
spouses, Ronald and Brenda, Steven and life partner, Brian Taylor and Tracy 
and Colleen; and six grandchildren, Lauren, Peter, Michael, Heather, 
Kristopher and Joshua.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace O. and Hattie (Denman) Bodey; 
four brothers, Charles, James, Ronald and Robert; and two sisters, Helen Fox 
and Wilma Kemper.

Wallace worked as an auto restorer and mechanic in his own shop, J&W Auto 
service and retired from the city of Troy maintenance department. He served in 
the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 
No. 5436 of Troy, Moose Lodge No. 2276 of Zephyrhills, Fla., and the Eagles 
Aerie No. 2378 of Minster.

His love and concern for his family and friends will be missed by all who knew 
him.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Whitfield Funeral Home and 
Cremation Services, Zephyrhills, Fla., with Pastor Tracy Brodey and the Rev. 
Shirley Garafalo officiating. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery 
in Bushnell, Fla.
