Ohio. He was 78 years and 22 days old. He died of pneumonia within ten days.

Youngstown where he lived until his death. The deceased worked for more than
25 years as a machinist for the Lloyd Booth Co. until he was forced to retire
because of his advanced age. They had 9 children of which 2 preceded the
parents in death. The remaining seven – George, Carl [Charles translates Carl
in German], Wilhelm and Johanna Roll, Mrs. Marie Gilchrist, Mrs. Louise
Middleton and Miss Anna Noll, including 12 grandchildren mourned the death of
their father and grandfather. Since the beginning of his residency, he was a
faithful member of the Martin Luther Community. The burial was Sunday
afternoon at the Martin Luther church with an astonishing number of mourners
in attendance. Pastor E.A. Boehme gave an emotional eulogy after which his
earthly remains were accompanied by Christ Walters, Johann Bauschatz, Carl
Spattholt, and Friedrich Oble, Albert Zenk, Carl Bretz, Carl Ebersbacher, and
