Miss Anna Noll’s, 96, Rites Are Monday
CANFIELD – Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Lane-Williams Funeral Home 
for Miss Anna Noll, 96, of the Sleigh Bell Residence, formerly of Oak Street, 
who died of congestive heart failure at 7:20 a.m. Saturday at the nursing 
home. Miss Noll was born March 11, 1885, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Charles 
and Gemella Hill Noll, coming here in 1906. She worked 17 years as a postal 
clerk in Canfield Post Office and served as acting postmaster. She was an 
assistant and head resident 15 years at the Christ Mission Settlement in 
Youngstown, where she taught night school to foreign-born men. She remained on 
the settlement board as a trustee after retiring. She was a member of Canfield 
United Methodist Church. She leaves six nephews and several grand nephews and 
nieces. Two sisters, Mrs. May Deming and Mrs. Laura Neff, are deceased. 
Friends may call an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home. The 
family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the church 
memorial fund.
