Mrs. Anna Neff, West Main street died of complications Sunday afternoon in the 
North Side unit of the Youngstown hospital. She had been ill two months. Born 
in Boardman township, she was a daughter of Joseph and Fannie Frankle Fithian, 
and had resided in Canfield since her marriage in 1901 to Martin J. Neff. Mrs. 
Neff was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Canfield; Mahoning 
Chapter, of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Canfield Court No. 39, 
Order of the Amaranth; the Garden Club of Canfield; the Thursday Afternoon 
Bridge Club, and the Women’s City Club of Youngstown. Besides her husband, she 
leaves two daughters, Mrs. Everett Bush of Youngstown and Mrs. Armand 
Schnurrenberger, Austintown township, a son, Martin J. Jr., at home; a sister, 
Mrs. Daniel Housley of Cleveland, two brothers, Dale and Arthur Fithian of 
Youngstown, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services with 
the Rev. Charles F. Fulcumer officiating, were held Wednesday afternoon at the 
William Funeral Home, and burial made in Canfield cemetery.
