Neff ffen@zoominternet.net June 2, 2006, 9:50 am Lane Funeral Home obituary GOLDNER, Margaret H. “Peg” nee VANVORHIS [Mrs. John Robert Goldner] 18 Feb 1920 to 11 Apr 2006 86y 1m 22d North Jackson- Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel Margaret H. Goldner age 86 of North Jackson who died early Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Emergency Room. Peg was born Feb. 18, 1920 in Toledo, OH and was the daughter of the late William G. and Ilo A. (Smith) VanVorhis. She had been Township Clerk for Jackson Twp for over 20 years and had previously been a teacher in the Columbus area. Peg was a member of the First Federated Church in North Jackson, a 1937 graduate of Findlay High School and a 1941 graduate of Hiram College. Her husband John Robert Goldner whom she married Sept. 24, 1942 died Dec. 8, 2001. She leaves three children, William S. (Marjorie) Goldner of Austintown, Nancy (Donald) Foster of North Jackson, John F. (Diana) Goldner of North Jackson, a sister Sharon Buckles and a brother Frederick W. VanVorhis both of Findlay, OH, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother William S. VanVorhis and a great granddaughter Gabrielle. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 6- 8 PM Thursday. The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley.
