LONG ILLNESS ENDS IN DEATH

John P. Gilbride, in Prime of Manhood, Called to Eternity

John Powell Gilbride, aged 24 years died Thursday afternoon at the family
residenced.  No 88 center Street from tuberculosis.  He had been in ill health
for several years.

The deceased was born and reaared in this city.  He was educated in the
parochial school of Immaculate Conception Parish.  Several years age he suffered
a severe attack of rheumatism which left him a cripple.  For the past six years
he had kept a confectionery store and news stand on Wilson Avenue.  His mother
died four months ago.

He is survied by his father, four brothers, Thomas, Louis, Edward and Morris
Gilbride--and five sisters --Mrs. Benjamin Edmunds, Genevieve, Elizabeth, May
and Rosa Gilbride.

The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o;clock from Sacred Heart Church,
with internment in Calvary Cemetery.
