Mrs. Ann Trimble Gee died Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
J.D. Stewart, in New Milford, Portage county of infirmities incident to 
advanced years. Deceased was born in County Down, Ireland, April; 26 1833, 
consequently 89 years of age. She came with her parents to America in 1849, 
reaching Philadelphia after spending nearly seven weeks on a sailing vessel. 
The family soon came to Mahoning county and settled in Dublin, southwest of 
Canfield, then largely populated by Scotch-Irish. She was married to Plympton 
Gee, who passed away 15 years ago; in Canfield where the couple came to spend 
their later life. It was here that her mother, Mrs. Jane Trimble, died when 
within a few days of being 100 years old. She leaves two children, William J. 
Gee of Canfield, and Mrs. J.D. Stewart, with whom she made her home; also six 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services conducted by Rev. 
W.P. Hollister were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the Canfield 
Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was long a member. Interment was 
made in the village cemetery.
