Ann Marie Fiffick, 93, of Canfield, passed away Thursday afternoon in 
Briarfield Manor. Mrs. Fiffick was born Sept. 3, 1911, in Youngstown, a 
daughter of Matthew and Josephine Chitarovich Vogrin. Besides being a 
homemaker, she helped her husband operate the Fiffick Service Station and 
Recap Shop in Campbell for 30 years. Her husband, Thomas D. Fiffick, whom she 
married October 12, 1931, passed away March 4, 1971. She leaves her children 
to cherish the memories she blessed them with, a son, Dr. Thomas E. (Patti) 
Fiffick of Hudson; daughters, Betty (Jack) Wasko of Campbell, Carole Fiffick 
of Canfield, with whom she made her home, and Jody (Rick) Vernal of Canfield; 
brothers, Charles of Youngstown, John G. Sr. (Anita0 of Youngstown, and George 
J. of Youngstown; sister, Dorothy (Carl T.) Tesner of Youngstown; 10 
grandchildren, Robert Wasko, Jacquelyn (Mark) Shaw, Bethanne Wasko, Alexis 
(Hank) Mathews, George Fiffick, Max (Amy) Fiffick, Hannah, R.T., and Elizabeth 
Vernal, and Ashley Fiffick; six great-grandchildren, Aaron, Joan, and Adam 
Mathews, Samuel and Isabella Fiffick, and Ian Shaw. She was preceded in death 
by her parents; husband, Tom; sisters, Sarah Liktar, Caroline Bury, and Rose 
Vogrin; brothers, Matthew, Thomas, Michael and Steve Vogrin; and daughter-in-
law, Joan Ashley Fiffick. Following the wishes of Mrs. Fiffick, there will be 
no calling hours. Services will be 11a.m. Monday at St. Nicholas Byzantine 
Catholic Church. The Fiffick family request memorial contributions be made to:

Wabash Ave., Akron, Ohio 44307.
