DEATH TAKES ONE
OF OLDEST RESIDENTS
Mrs. Lois Neff Edsall, 85, one of Canfield township’s oldest native born 
residents, died of complications early Sunday morning in St. Elizabeth’s 
hospital, Youngstown, where she had been a patient since Sept. 17, when she 
fractured a hip in a fall.
A daughter of Martin and Catherine Wilson Neff, she was born in a log cabin, a 
mile and a half east of Canfield, Sept. 16, 1868, and was a resident of the 
township her entire life.
Mrs. Edsall was a member of Paradise Lutheran church and the Amity Club of 
Canfield.
She was married to Chas. Edsall in 1889.
Surviving is her son-in-law, Raymond Bischoff, with whom she made her home. 
Two daughters, Mrs. Julia Bischoff and Mrs. Bertha Venables, preceded her in 
death.
Funeral services, with Rev. L.J. Baker in charge, were held Tuesday afternoon 
at the Williams Funeral Home, and burial made in the Canfield cemetery.
