BOYD CRONK DIES
Boyd E. Cronk, 71, retired Greenford grocer, died Tuesday morning in 
Youngstown. In failing health the past three years, he suffered a stroke last 
Saturday, and failed to rally. Born in Canfield, May 16, 1885, he was a son of 
W.A. and Grace Weasner Cronk, and resided here until 19 years ago, when he 
went into business in Greenford. For many years he was engaged in 
merchandising and the restaurant business in Canfield. Mr. Cronk, long a 
member of the Canfield fire department, served as the first chief of the Green 
Township Fire Department, which he was active in organizing. In 1906, he was 
married to Miss Edith Wise of Canfield. She died four years ago. Surviving are 
a daughter, Mrs. Joseph P. Mahar of Youngstown; a son, Ray W. Cronk of 
Canfield; and three brothers, Harry and Clark of Middletown, Ohio, and Jay of 
Cambridge, Ohio. Funeral services, with Rev. Arvid Kultunen officiating, will 
be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Home, and burial made in 
the Canfield cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cronk of Middletown, Ohio, and their daughter, Miss Ona 
Grace Cronk of Cleveland came Friday to attend funeral services for the 
former’s brother, Boyd W. Cronk.
