Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 6 Sep 1918
Word has been received of the death of Henry H. Brunstetter of Alva, Oklahoma, 
Aug. 20. The deceased was born in Austintown township March 17, 1837. He 
attended the district school in this place and was a student at the Mahoning 
Academy in Canfield. He taught school for nearly 48 years, teaching in Ohio, 
Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The first term was 
taught in 1867 and the last in Oklahoma in 1905. He kept a record of the names 
of all his pupils and their ages. In October, 1861, he enlisted in Co. F, 41st 
Ohio Infantry; was wounded in the battle of Pittsburgh Landing. April 7, 1862, 
was honorably discharged and later enlisted in the 12th Ohio Calvary. His 
wife, three sons and a daughter survive him.
