Mrs. Lucy Best, 80 years old, widow of the late Isaac Best, a pioneer resident 
of Lordstown, passed away at her home in Lordstown on Saturday evening, her 
death following an illness of short duration with complications and 
infirmities of age. Mrs. Best was born in Newton township and came to 
Lordstown in her childhood. She was a member of the Lutheran churches and a 
woman of many fine qualities that endeared her to a large circle of friends. 
She is survived by one son, Andrew Best, two grandchildren, one great 
grandchild, a brother, Freeman Craver of Ravenna, and two sisters, Mrs. 
Matilda Hallock, and Mrs. L.M. Beardsley of Newton Falls. Funeral services 
will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at her home in Lordstown, when 
Rev. George Crites will officiate. Burial will take place in the Newton 
cemetery.
