DROPPED DEAD ON WAY TO FAIR
Isaac Best, a Well Known Farmer of Lordstown Succumbs to Heart Trouble Early
Wednesday Morning.
Isaac Best, a well known farmer residing in Lordstown, dropped dead in his
buggy while driving to the Canfield fair early Wednesday morning. Heart
disease is given as the cause of his death. With Mr. Best at the time was his
grandson, Noble Best. The two had arisen early and after Mr. Best had done his
chores they started for the fair. A short distance south of Austintown nearly
in front of the residence of William May, the old man’s head fell forward on
his chest and his body relaxed. The grandson summoned help but Mr. Best was
dead when it arrived. Mr. Best was a man about 68 years old and had resided in
Lordstown for the past forty years. He had been troubled with heart trouble
for sometime and his physician had often warned him against over exertion.
Wednesday morning he arose before daybreak and had all of his chores done
early. Immediately after breakfast he with the grandson started for the fair.
He was apparently in the best of health and spirits. Surviving are his wife
and one son, Andrew Best of Lordstown.
