                            RUDDLE.
            Walter Ruddle, Sr., 54, 420 S. Fourth st, Greenfield, died 
Saturday at 1 p.m. at his home following a long illness.
            He was born May 30, 1920 in Ruddle, W. Va., a son of A. B. and 
Jessie Painter Ruddle.
            A World War II veteran of the U. S. Army, he was employed at the 
Oil and Battery Service, Greenfield.  He was a member of First United 
Presbyterian Church.
            Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Murray 
Funeral Home with Rev. Clair S. Emerick officiating.  Interment will be in 
Greenfield Cemetery.
           Visitation will be observed at Murray's after 4 p.m. Monday.
           Mr. Ruddle is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Robert 
L. (Sharon) Kelley, Flatwoods, W. Va., Mrs. Donnie L. (Melinda) Ward, 
Frankfort Rt. 2, and Walter Paul Ruddle Jr., and Dennis Wayne Ruddle, both of 
Hillsboro Rt. 7; four grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Hillard, 
Georgia, Mrs. Ivalee Rhoads, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Thelma Wanson, Massachusetts.
          A granddaughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
