From the 25 August 1904 “News-Herald” of Hillsboro, Ohio:

		In Memoriam.
	Louisa Barnes Lupton, daughter of Elias and Mary Wolfe Barnes, and 
grand-daughter of Rev. Reece Wolfe, who led Methodism into Wood county, W. 
Va., died at the home of her son, Reece W. Lupton, near Wellington, Kan., July 
14, 1904, aged 97 years and 13 days, having been born July 1, 1807, near 
Parkersburg, Va.  In 1817 she came to Highland county with her parents where 
she resided until March, 1882, when she moved to Kansas.  She joined the M. E. 
Church when 10 years of age and remained a member until her marriage to Silas 
Lupton in September, 1840.  He was a member of the Friend’s Church and she 
moved her membership to that church.  She was twice married and the mother of 
nine children, five of whom are still living.
