STERLEY O. LIGHTNER STERLEY O. LIGHTNER, 55, of Leesburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on April 18, 1949, the son of the late RANDOLPH L. LIGHTNER and WILMA JEAN (NEWMAN) LIGHTNER. He was a heavy equipment operator for CSX Railroad. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, DAVID LIGHTNER, and one granddaughter, TAYLA ELLIS. He is survived by his wife, CATHERINE (PIATT) LIGHTNER, who he married on July 12, 1969; son, BUD LIGHTNER of Leesburg; daughters and son-in-law, ANGIE ELLIS of Leesburg, and ANNIE and CHARLES SELLERS of Leesburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, PAUL and REINA LIGHTNER of Greenfield, and DALE and PENNY LIGHTNER of Kettle, W.Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law, KAREN and ROBERT HESTER of Hillsboro, MARGARET and JONAH HATFIELD of Leesburg, JANE and HARRY EIDENIER of Leesburg, and ALICE and KEITH EIDENIER of Leesburg; and two grandchildren, TRAVIS ELLIS and SHAWN LOVELY. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Hope- Miller Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Larry Herdman officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Creek Cemetery. Friends may call today (Thursday) from 6- 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Ohio, Inc., 1373 Grandview Ave., Suite 200, Columbus, Ohio 43212-2804.
