                            HILES.
        Charles (Bob) Hiles, 62, of 644 McClain Ave., Greenfield, died at 9:20 
a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in his home following a 3 1/2 month illness.
        Born March 27, 1923 in Pike County, he was the son of John Warden 
Hiles and Hallie Lytle Hiles Ford of Springfield.
        A mill operator at Armco Steel in Washington C.H. and a U.S. Army 
World War II veteran, Mr. Hiles is survived by his wife, the former Bernice 
Marie Comer; two sons, Harold Raymond Hiles of Cincinnati and Gerald C. Hiles 
of Wilmington; two daughters, Mrs. David (Martha Aileene) Ross of Milford  and 
Mrs. Bobby (Margie Lucille) Trefz of Ohio 28-E, Greenfield; six grandchildren 
and two brothers, Forrest Hiles of Springfield and William Hiles of Gulfport, 
Miss.
       He was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers.
       Mr. Hiles was a member of the Greenfield Masonic Lodge No. 318 and the 
Greenfield Church of Christ.  
       Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Murray's Funeral Home with 
James and Dennis Dawes officiating.  Burial will be in South Salem Cemetery.
       Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
       Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
