East Liverpool Crisis 29 Dec 1899 pg 4
Howard, the 18 year old son of Dr. D. Vincent, of Fifth street, succumbed to
typhoid fever at 4 :25 Thursday afternoon after an illness of five weeks. The
young man was very popular and widely known and the news of his death will be
received with deep regret. About four weeks ago he was removed from his
father’s home to the residence of Mrs. Flora Vincent, Third street. He began to
sink Wednesday, and on Thursday he was in a dying condition. The end came
peacefully.
The remains were taken away on the midnight train to Howell, Michigan,
where the grandparents of the deceased reside. John Saint and Dr. Vincent
accompanied the remains.
