  Hughie F Stone

Hughie F Stone, 67, a retired cook and brother of Shelley C Stone Sr of
356 Vincent Blvd., president of the Crescent Ice and Coal Co. died suddenly
at 4pm Monday in his room at the Milner Hotel in Canton, following a heart
attack.  Mr. Stone, was found dead seated in a chair, was last seen alive
at 1 pm.

A resident of Canton since 1918, Mr. Stone retired two years ago.  A native
of Salem, Mr. Stone was a veteran of World War. I.  He was the son of the
late Stephen and Jane Stone, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in
Canton.

He is survived by another brother, Darwin E Stone of Westville Lake and
a sister, Mrs. Edith Flowers of Los Angeles, Calif.  

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at the Whitticar
Funeral Home in Canton in charge of Rev. P.H. Welshimer, pastor of the
First Christian Church of Canton.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm
Wednesday at the funeral home.  Interment will be made in the Soldier's
plot in Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.
