East Liverpool Crisis  2 Oct 1897  pg 5
Mrs. Elizabeth Dietz, one of the pioneer residents of East Liverpool, died of 
the infirmities of old age at 5:45 this morning at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. John Agner, 292 Fourth street. Deceased was 84 years old.
	Mrs. Dietz has been in declining health for about five years and she 
has been bedfast at times during the past year. Henry Dietz, the husband of the 
deceased, died in this city 16 years ago.
	Mr. And Mrs. Dietz came here from Hessedarmstadt, Germany, in 1855.
	Deceased was the oldest of the original members of St. Johns Lutheran 
church of this city.
	Three children, all of East Liverpool, survive her, as follows:  Henry, 
Mrs. John Agner, and Mrs. Caroline Deidrick.
	The remains will be taken to the Lutheran church at 2 o’clock Monday 
afternoon where services will be conducted by Rev. J.G. Reinartz. Interment at 
Spring Grove.
