East Liverpool Daily Crisis - 13 Jun 1903 - pg 4
Sarah A., wife of M.H. Bough, of Kossuth street, died at 7 o’clock Friday
evening from cancer. Death was not unexpected by the family. Six months ago
Mrs. Bough was sent to the Mercy hospital, Pittsburgh, where she sustained an
operation. But all attempts to preserve her life proved futile.
Mrs. Sarah A. Bough was born at Cannons Mills, St. Clair township, 56 years
ago. She was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John March, who for years were
prominent residents of Madison township, residing on a farm near West Point.
She was married to M.H. Bough 33 years ago at West Point and with her husband
removed to this city 25 years ago, and has since that time resided here.
At the age of 17 she became a member of the Presbyterian church and was a
member until the time of her death. For 25 years Mrs. Bough has been well known
as a hard and conscientious worker in the First Presbyterian church of this
city. Deceased is survived by her husband and two children: Clifford A. Bough,
of this city, and Mrs. F.M. McCurdy, of Pittsburgh.
The funeral services will be held at the late home at the corner of College
and Kossuth streets at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon. Rev. C.G. Jordan will
officiate. Interment will be made in Riverview cemetery.
