"Biloxian Dies In Auto Crash Near Prentiss"

"Wilfred J. Gorenflo Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilred J. Gorenflo S., 1425 Cemetery
St., Biloxi, died about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after his automobile crashed into a parked
truck near Prentiss. Gorenflo was enroute from Prentiss to Green Springs, about 16
miles away, to visit his fiance, Miss Hazel Dyees and he apparently didn't see the

his fiance were driving ahead of Gorenflo and moved him from the car shortly before
it caught fire. He was alone at the time of the accident. Gorenflo and Miss Dyees
were to married on March 17. A native Biloxian, he had been residing in Prentiss a
year and a half as plant administrator to Edward Hyman Co., manufacturer of work
clothing in Prentiss. He was a graduate of Biloxi High School and Mississippi State
University, where he received a degree in industrial management. Gorenflo had been
active in the DeMolay fraternity, having received the degree of Chevalier and was a
member of Signa Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was also a member of the Biloxi Yacht
Club and the First Methodist Church. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from
Bradford-O''Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park. Services
