Biloxi Daily Herald on 7 April 1936
"Emile Fayard, Sr., who died at his home in d'Iberville at 6 a.m. Sunday, was buried
yesterday morning with services by Father O'Sullivan, pastor of the Sacred Heart
Church, and interment in Moran Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bert Santa Cruz, Emile
Fayard, Jr., Geo. Trochesset, James, Roe and Elbert Quave. Mr. Fayard was the
husband of the late Mary Saujon. He was a native of Biloxi and virtual lifelong
resident of d'Iberville and Harrison county. He was 85 year old and a member of one
the oldest families of d'Iberville. He followed the fishing trade most of his life.
Three sons, Emile, Jr., Albert and Camille; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Quave,
Mrs. Phillip Trochesset and Mrs. Jos. Saucier, d'Iberville; four half brothers,
Jos., Camille, Alphonse and Samuel Boney; two half sisters, Mrs. Henry Diaz and Mrs.
John Creel; 36 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren."


Additional Comments:
Emile was the son of Victoria Moran (1835-1885)and her first husband, Celestin
Fayard (1830-1835).  His wife was Mary Cornelia Saujon Fayard (1855-1935).

Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 22, pg 217: Emile was 85 years, 3 months, 4
days old when he died at his home in D'Iberville. He was the son of Celestin Fayard
and Victoria Moran and was a fisherman. He died from arterio sclerosis.
