 John Eddy “Johnny” Bonds, 88 of Nashville died March 1, 2012, at Berrien N
Nursing Center.
Born December 5, 1923, in Waco, TX, to the late Newell and Eva Mae Dozier Eddy, 
he was retired from Nashville Mills and was of the Methodist faith. He was a 
veteran of the Army Corps and WWII. He was  an active member of the Nashville 
VFW and served as post commander. He was a Mason, Shriner and member of Duncan 
Lodge #234. He was preceded in death by his wife, Burnice Udell Bonds, and d
daughter, Pat Rooks.
 Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara and Talmadge 
Bradford of Nashville and Linda Rineer of Valdosta; brother, Tom Bonds of 
Clovis, NM; sister, Ruth Cook of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Shae and 
Shannon Bradford, Connie Rooks all of Nashville, and Erika Norton of Port St. 
Joe, FL; great-granddaughter, Meagan Bradford.
 The family has honored his request for cremation and no formal service was h
held.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
