 Errol Eugene Best, 97, of Ray City died November 30, 2006 at his residence.
  Born Feb. 3, 1909 in Crenshaw Co., AL, to the late Charles and Beaulah Kelly 
Hill, he was a retired from the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad in Waycross. He 
was a member of First Baptist Church of Ray City. He was preceded in death by 
his wife, Eula Love Best, and two sons, Paul Eugene Best and Coley Best and an 
infant daughter.
  Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Madeline Peevy of 
Adel, Ellie and Quinton Hutto of Vidalia, and Geri and James Pope of Ray City; 
three brothers and one sister in law, Charles and Faye Hill, Henry Hill and Roy 
Hill all of Montgomery, AL; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, four 
great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services were held Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. at Ray City First Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Lee Graham and John Evans Patten officiating. Rev. B. J. 
Holliday and Lee Stallings sang "Amazing Grace," "Land of the Living," and "It 
is Well With My Soul," accompanied by Ginger Carter and Libby Boatwright.
  Interment was in Beaver Dam Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were deacons of First Baptist Church of Ray City including Jason 
Barnes, Johnny Cooper, Elliot Garner, Fred Carter, David Stalvey, Wayne Peters.
  Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
