 Cecil Delmer Bently, 76, of Nashville, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at his r
residence.
  He was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Starex, S.C., to the late Troy Bently and the l
late Virginia Jenkins. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years s
service and was employed with the Berrien County Hospital for 31 years. He a
attended the Nashville Mission.
  He is survived by his wife, Jacquelin “Jackie” Lester Bently of Nashville; 
son, Woody (Michelle) Bently of Newport News, Va.; four grandsons, Jody Bently 
of Arlington, Texas, Danny Polyson, Chris Polyson, and Steven Polyson, all of 
Newport News, Va.; three half brothers, Troy Bently of Clinton, S.C., Joe Bently
Bently of Jacksonville, Fla., Ronald Bently of Taylorville, S.C.; three sisters-in
in-law, Betty Cawhon of Jackson, Ellie Davis and Jean Moore, both of Nashville; s
special niece, Jackie Holland of Alapaha.
  Funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the chapel 
of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R.T. Castleberry and the Rev. Russ Elkins o
officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
  Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today. Memorials are requested to the 
Carrie Dorsey Perry Memorial Library.
  Pallbearers were Larry Griner, Tommy Coker, Ray Hesters, Robert Lavender, Lin 
Parrish, Wilbert Rigdon.
 Honorary pallbearers were employees of Berrien County Hospital and Berrien 
Nursing Center.
