Tillman Bennett
The Rev. Tillman Bennett, 85, of Nashville, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 
the Berrien County Hospital. 
Born in Atkinson County on Sept. 8, 1921, to the late Willis Berry Bennett and 
the former Laura Cook, Tillman Bennett was a retired farmer and minister of 45 
years, having served as pastor for Barnes Chapel and Liberty Chapel. He was a 
member of P.H. Herndon Pentecostal Evangelistic Association since 1990 and was 
presently attending Nashville Holiness Church. Rev. Bennett was preceded in 
death by his first wife, Dorothy Bennett, who died in 1991.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Mayo Bennett, Nashville; four daughters, 
Amanda Aletha Baughman, Chattanooga, Tenn., Laura Virginia Brogdon, Abita 
Springs, La., Diane Spurlock, Nashville, Mary Ellie Sexton, Adel; one son, 
James Bennett, Ontario, Canada; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 
one great-great grandson.
Services will be held Monday, March 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of 
Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. James Tyson, the Rev. Paul Baker and the 
Rev. Johnny Smith presiding.
Interment will be at Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation is today from 7-9 p.m. at 
Lovein Funeral Home. - Lovein Funeral Home.
