 Rev. Olem Bennett, 95, of Enigma died November 9, 2013, at Berrien Nursing 
Center.
 He was born November 29, 1917 in Cook County to the late John Thomas  and 
Thelma Hayes Bennett. He was a retired farmer and minister having faithfully 
served Berrien, Coffee, and Clinch counties for over 50 years. he was a member 
of Pleasant hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his 
wife, Audrey Gray Bennett who died in 2006, son, Gary Bennett, two sisters, and 
an infant brother.
 He is survived by his daughter, Waunell (Rev. Garvie) Nichols of Enigma; 2 
sons, Ronald (Ruth) Bennett of Nashville, and Laverne (Peggy) Bennett of 
Enigma; sister, Mattie Bell Whiteside of Plant City, FL; brother, Edgar Bennett 
of Nashville; daughter-in-law, Elaine Bennett of Douglas; 12 grandchildren, 21 
great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held on November 11 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Connell and Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating.
 Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
