 Joseph A. "Bug" Baker, 71, of the West Berrien Community, died Thursday, Sept. 
3, 2009 at his residence. He was born Aug. 23, 1938 in Berrien County to the 
late John W. Baker and the late Carrie Elizabeth Weaver. He was a retired 
farmer, Army Veteran, and served in the Georgia National Guard. He was a member 
of the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and he attended the First Baptist 
Church of Lenox. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and 
friends. His grandchildren were very special to him and they will hold a 
special place in his heart. He is survived by his wife, Sue Willis Baker of the 
West Berrien Community; daughter Regina Hughes of Nashville; son, Mike (Jeri) 
Baker of the West Berrien Community; two sisters, Marie Barber of the West 
Berrien Community and Anelda Griner of Nashville; brother, J.W. Baker of the 
West Berrien Community; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Baker, Michael Tytus 
Baker, Allison Lynn Baker and Turner Hughes; mother-in-law, Lizzie Mae Willis 
of Tifton; brother-in-law, Dale (Linda) Willis of Tifton. Funeral services will 
be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 in the First Baptist Church of Lenox 
with the Rev. Lamar Harris, Rev. Ronald Wilcox, Elder Robert Conner, and the 
Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Ronald Wilcox served as pianist, Reba Spradley 
sang "Serenaded by Angels" and Deborah Redlinger, Steve Jones and Jeff Jones 
sang "Prettiest Flowers." Jimmy Jones played "Amazing Grace" at the cemetery on 
the harmonica.  Interment will follow in the Lenox City Cemetery. Visitation 
will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. 
 Pallbearers were Greg Griner, Chip Griner, Don Griner, Jeff Willis, Davis Gr
Griffis, Jim Barber, Charles Robinson, Mark Rutland, Aubrey Sumner. 
 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
