Daniel Garthel Anderson, 83, of Nashville died June 6, 2003 at his residence.
 Born January 7, 1920 in Toombs Co., GA, he was the son of the late Daniel 
Homer and Flora Odom Anderson. A retired Randolph County director of the 
Farmers home Administration, he was a member of Nashville First Baptist 
Church. Nashville VFW Post 5978, and a Navy veteran of WWII.
 Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Smith Anderson of Nashville; one 
daughter, Susan Payne of Columbia, SC; one son, Danny Anderson of Winter Park, 
FL; one sister, Willene Brogdon of Nashville, 6 grandchildren.
 Funeral services were held June 8 at 2 p.m. at Nashville First Baptist Church 
with the Revs. Richard Williams and Bill Southerland officiating. B. J. and 
Theresa Holliday sang "Beulah Land" and the congregation sang "Amazing Grace," 
accompanied by Jan Rowe and Mr. Anderson's granddaughter, Jessica, who played 
the violin.
 Active pallbearers were Burt Anderson, Allen Anderson, Chris White, Jimmy 
Clayton, Randy Mason.
 Honorary pallbearers were the Brotherhood Sunday School Class of Nashville 
First Baptist Church.
 Lovein Funeral was in charge.
