  NASHVILLE - Charles Richard Adams, 63, of Nashville, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 
2008, at the V.A. Hospital in Gainesville, Fla. Funeral services will be held 
at 2 p.m. Monday at Flat Creek Church. The Rev. Mickey Lindsey will officiate. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 1. Della Purvis sang "Ten Thousand 
Angels" and "Peace in the Valley," Buck Warren sang "Long Black Train," Greg 
Shoupe sang "The Old Rugged Cross," and Rodney and Angie Cornelius sang "I Want 
Us to be Together in Heaven." 
 Burial will follow at Nashville Memorial Gardens with full military honors. 
Angie Cornelius sang "Amazing Grace" at the gravesite. The remains will be 
carried to his residence today and will remain there until the hour of the 
services. Mr. Adams was born on April 18, 1945 in Upson County. He was the son 
of Carson Adams and Lucille Pafford Adams, both deceased. He was also preceded 
in death by two brothers, Bill and James Adams. He was a member of Flat Creek 
Church. He served in the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam and was the recipient 
of the Four Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. 
Survivors include his wife, Mary Dupree Adams of Nashville; two sons, Chris 
Adams and Scott (Kim) Adams, all of Nashville; Beth Adams (the mother of 
grandchildren Kyle, Kayla and Blake) of Nashville; a sister, Lorene Pafford of 
Nashville; four brothers, Collis Adams, Julian Adams and Eugene Adams, both of 
Nashville, Eugene Adams of Moultrie and Hulon Adams of Lenox; grandchildren 
Kyle, Kayla, Blake, Zachery and Tanner Adams and Kaylea (Derek) Smith; and 
three great-grandchildren, Damon, Anslie and Whalen Smith.
 Active pallbearers were Kyle Adams, Derek Smith, Patrick Dupree, Jimmy Dupree, 
Damon Hogan, Mike Bennett, Elton Dupree.
Lovein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
