Carlton Evans, 94, of Commerce, died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at BJC Nursing 
Home, Commerce.

Born on November 15, 1911, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late 
Claude and Renie Hart Evans. He was a retired farmer and a member of Beaverdam 
Baptist Church. Mr. Evans was a veteran, having served in the United States 
Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers, J.B. and 
Joe Evans; and a sister, Louise Evans.

Survivors include two brothers, Stewart Evans and Samuel “Tumpy” Evans, both 
of Commerce.

Burial services were held Friday, July 28, in the chapel of Little-Ward 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Manus officiating. Burial was in the Trinity 
Methodist Church Cemetery, Royston.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Baptist Church Fellowship 
Hall Fund.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
