MISS OSSIE DOBBS, 53, died Friday afternoon from injuries suffered in an 
automobile accident near Royston earlier in the afternoon.
Miss Dobbs was driving alone enroute to Royston on the Canon Road (GA Hwy 17) 
when her car was struck head on at 3 p.m. by an automobile driven by Paul 
Edins of Canon.  An eye-witness reported Edins swerved to the left of the road 
to avoid striking a pedestrian who had walked out into the highway.  Both 
machines were demolished.  Mr. Edins suffered severn broken ribs and a 
compound fracture of the leg.
Funeral services for Miss Dobbs were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday from Middle 
River Baptist Church with Rev. Spence Phillips and Rev. Garnet Wilson 
officiating.  Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors include 5 sisters, Miss Ovie Dobbs, Mrs. Clyde Little, Mrs. S. T. 
Cole, Mrs. Lonnie Crowe and Mrs. D. Robert Phillips; one brother, Homer Dobbs 
of Carnesville.
