Young Boy Drowns Near Bowman

Seaborn C. Dickerson, five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Dickerson, of near
Bowman, was drowned in a creek near the parents home on last Saturday, August
first. The small boy had been in shallow water wading when he came to a deep part
of the creek and went under.

Funeral services were held at Pleasant Grove Church on Sunday, August 2nd, by Rev.
A.W. Bussey and Rev. W.T. Holcomb. Weatherly and Brock funeral directors were in
charge of the arrangements. A large crowd attended the funeral as evidence of the
love held for the child and his parents.

Besides his parents, the young boy is survived by two sisters, Carolina and
Margielee, and two brothers, Dismond and Heywood Dickerson.

The family and other relatives have the deepest sympathy of their many friends in
the unfortunate death of their loved one.
