Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Vandiver Crow were held at Allens Methodist 
Church last Friday morning at 11 o'clock with her pastor, Rev. R. W. Allison, 
conducting the services.

	A large crowd attended the funeral and many beautiful floral offerings 
attested to the high esteem in which she was held.

	Mrs. Crow passed away the the home in the Red Hill Community last 
Wednesday, Feb. 23rd after a serious illness of only 5 days.  While she had 
been in ill health for sometime, she had been able to be up most of the time 
and her condition was not considered serious until a few days prior to her 
death.  She was 73 years old.

	Before her marriage to Dr. Thomas J. Crow in 1906, she was Miss 
Lucy Alena Vandiver.  She was born in Franklin County and lived her entire life 
within a few miles of where she was born.  She was a true Christian woman, 
joining the church of her choice in early girlhood.  She was know by many 
people and loved by all.  Her kindness to neighbors and friends will ever be 
remembered by those who knew her best.

	The deceased was a daughter of the late Edward Callaway Vandiver 
and Margaret Amelia Welch Vandiver and is survived by one brother, Paul 
Vandiver; 4 sisters, Misses Corrie, Belle, Ida, and Pearl Vandiver.

Interment was in Allens cemetery with B. D. Ginn funeral director, being in 
charge.
