In the death of Mr. Phillip Thomas Cromer, Franklin county loses a valuable 
citizen.  Death came to him at the home of his son, Seaborn Cromer in Cromers 
Mill 
Community on August 26th after a four months illness of heart trouble.  He was 
78 years old and was born and reared in Franklin County.
Funeral services were held from Trinity church Wednesday with Rev. W. J. Nash 
officiating.  Interment was in the churchyard cemetery amid a large number of 
sorrowing 
friends and relatives.
Mr. Cromer was an outstanding farmer of the county and won many friends during 
his long life.  He was a member of Trinity church and as long as health 
permitted,
 took an active part in church activities.  He reared a large family and was a 
devoted father and husband.
He is survived by 13 children, Mrs. D. C. Phillips, Olin Cromer, Mrs. J. L. 
Carey, I. O. Cromer, Earl Cromer, Pearl Cromer, all of Royston; Mrs. Curt 
Carey of
Anderson, SC, Mrs. R. L. Stephens, Seaborn Cromer, Keifer Cromer, Jim Cromer, 
all of Royston; Mrs. Henry Brown of Toccoa, Mrs. Omer Smith of Royston; 3 
sisters,
Mrs. Amanda Hart, Mrs. Clem Mealor, Mrs. Henry Hart, 57 grandchildren and 11 
great grandchildren.
Cunningham & Weatherly, funeral directors, were in charge of arrangements.
