MRS. THOMAS M. COFFEE, 75, beloved citizen of the Nails Creek 
Community, Banks County, died in the Stephens County Hospital In Toccoa, 
Wednesday, January 24, after an illness of one week.

	Mrs. Coffee was born in Franklin County, being the former Miss Dora 
L. Ariail.  She was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church and lived a true 
Christian life.  He husband preceded her to the grave by several years.  Her 
passing is mourned by hundreds of friends throughout this section of the state.  
Truly a good woman has gone to her just reward.

	Funeral services were held at Nails Creek Church Friday, January 
25th, with Dr. A. T. Cline and Rev. Joe Brown officiating.  A large crowd 
attended the funeral.

	Surviving are the following children:  Dr. H. D. Coffee of Columbia, 
SC, Mrs. Grace Caudell of Ashland, Otho M. Coffee of Lithia Springs, GA, C. 
Broughton Coffee of Ashland, Woodrow W. Coffee of Tiger, GA; 1 brother, Ira 
V. Ariail of Atlanta, GA; a number of other relative also survive.

	B. D. Ginn, funeral director, was in charge of arrangements.
