MISS MARY GRACE AYERS, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ero Ayers, passed away at 
Stephens County Hospital Tuesday night.
    She was a victim of the tragic accident which occurred when the car in 
which she was riding collided with a train.  She was rushed to the hospital 
but died shortly after midnight.
    Mary Grace was born in Franklin county and was 21 years of age.  She had 
lived in Stephens county the past 10 years.  She was a member of Broad River 
Baptist Church.  She always had a ready smile for everyone and her cordial, 
friendly manner won many friends.  The light of her fine Christian character 
shed a glow of sweetness and beauty on all who came within the circle of her 
acquaintance.
    She was an employee of North Georgia Processing Company.
    She is survived by her parents and four brothers, James, Fred, and John, 
and Paul of the U. S. Army stationed in England.
    Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at Toms Creek 
Church, before a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.  Rev. Ben 
Turner was the officiating minister.  Interment was in the church cemetery.
    Pallbearers were her 3 brothers, James, Fred and John Ayers, Paul Addison, 
Jack Watkins and L. E. Ayers.
