Alexander City Outlook
Funeral services for Pfc. Thomas F. Alford, who died in Germany Feb. 8, 1945. 
will be held at 4 this afternoon at Bethany Church. He was 20 years old at the 
time of his death. The Rev. Grady Birchfield will officiate. Burial will be in 
the church cemetery, directed by the Brady Whatley Funeral Home. Military honors 
will be conducted at the graveside by details of the Ideal American Legion post 
and the National Guard. Members of the guard will serve as pallbearers. Surviving 
are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Alford, Alexander City, Rt. 3; and two 
sisters, Miss Billy Jean Alford, Rt. 3. city, and Mrs. Nelda Epperson, Alexander 
City, Rt. 2.
