Services for Basil C. Abner, 64, of Warner Robins, formerly of Clay County, will 
be Friday at 3 p.m. at Black's Chapel United Methodist Church in Clay County 
with the Rev. Charles E. Wright, the Rev. Valter Taylor and the Rev. Jimmy Jones 
officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral 
Home of Lineville in charge. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 
until 9 tonight and Friday until an hour before the services. Mr. Abner died 
Wednesday at Robins Air Force Base Hospital in Warner Robins. Survivors include 
a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Norred of Forest Park, Ga.; two sons, Robert M. Abner 
of Warner Robins and William H. Abner of Forest Park; a sister, Mrs. Glynn Scott 
of Eastaboga; two brothers, Hubert Abner of Oxford and James Abner of Stone 
Mountain, Ga.; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Abner was a Clay County native and a 
Warner Robins resident for the past three years. He was a World War II veteran 
and a retired electro-mechanical engineer for the U.S. Government.
