Anniston Star
Funeral services were conducted for Charles Owen Amason. 71, at the Cragford 
Baptist Church Monday. The Rev. Charles Jordan and Judge W. B. Nolen officiated, 
and burial was at the New Hope Cemetery. Blair Funeral Home was in charge. Mr. 
Amason died at the Clay County Hospital Sunday following an Illness of several 
days. Mr. Amason was born in Clay County and bad spent his entire life in the 
county. He had farmed most of his life. Ha Is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lavada 
Cole Amason, Rt 1, Lineville; four sons. Worth Amason, Rt 1, Cragford, Brady 
Amason, Lineville, Grady Amason, Montgomery, Charles Amason, Talladega; three 
daughters, Mrs. Hermon Guy, Talladega, Mrs. Ruby Farrow, Rt, 1, Cragford, Miss 
Faye Amason, Rt 1, Lineville, and one brother, Mr. M. D. Amason, Rt 1. Cragford. 
Pallbearers were Buster. Robertson. Orville Jones, Minton Burdette, Garrell 
Burdette, Talmadge Cole, Dudy Amason, Baron Cole, William Jones.
