Erecting Residence.

James Darnel, one of the prosperous bench ranchers, is erecting an attractive
residence on his property, which was formerly a part of the A. J. Crook ranch.
It will cost about $700 and will be conveniently arranged to make Mr. Darnell
and his family a very comfortable home. Mr. Darnell recently sold, for a
consideration of $1500, 40 acres of his land to J. M. Bennett of this city,
retaining 40 acres for his home place, as he, with unquestionable judgment,
decided that a ranch of that size in the fertile Payette Valley, if handled
intelligently, is enough to give any man a comfortable living and a snug little
income besides to lay aside for a “rainy day.” Mr. Darnell has been a resident
of the Payette Valley for about two and one-half years and announces that it
has done so well by him in that time that he needs no further proof to convince
him that it is a country to be heartily recommended to anyone seeking a home.
