CLUB WOMEN RETURN FROM CONVENTION

Mrs. Homer Settle, Mrs. W. B. Wagner, and Mrs. Mary Hart of Payette are back
home after having attended the State Federation of Women’s Clubs in St. Maries
last week.

Mrs. Settle said when interviewed, “It was the most wonderful trip and one of
the finest conventions that I ever attended. It is not often our good fortune
to have the General Federation President in attendance at a state meeting but
Grace Morrison Poole was very much present at that meeting and her dynamic
personality dominated every session. Our own State President, Mrs. E. T.
Barton, was the especial pride of the twenty women from this district who
claimed her as their own. Under her directions the convention operated like
clock work. Thoroughly efficient and altogether lovely, she endeared herself
to everyone.”

Mrs. Settle added that the entire convention story would appear in Golden Idaho
and she hoped that every club woman would read it and Mrs. Poole’s speeches.
