CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Mother’s Day will be observed at the church next Sunday morning. The young
people plan to decorate the church and furnish white flowers to all who do not
have them. The choir is preparing some special music for the occasion. The
pastor will preach the sermon.

Next Sunday will mark another stage in the progress of the new church. The
large Sunday School assembly room on the first floor above the basement is
being finished and is expected to be in condition for use next Sunday. This
room is 32x40 ft., with a balcony on three sides and will seat about 300 people
when completed. The members and friends of the church have been loyal in their
attendance during the services and there should be rejoicing on the part of all
that the services from now on can be held in more comfortable quarters.

The church is planning to entertain the state convention this year which will
be from the 19th to the 21st of June. Several national workers will be here
from the eastern states.

There will be no evening service at the church next Sunday on account of the
baccalaureate services at the theatre.
