Chopped of His Finger.

John Eldson, a herder in the employ of Albert Wilson, while chopping wood
Tuesday, had the misfortune to strike the little finger of his right hand,
severing it near the second joint. He was brought to town where he was given
the necessary attention by Dr. Woodward. While the doctor was removing the
portion of bone necessary to sew up the finger, Eldson showed remarkable nerve
as he would take no anasthetic, but coolly watched the doctor at his work.
